Cairngorms Cèilidh Trailers in Glenisla Village Hall.

Now in its 4th year, the

Cairngorms Cèilidh Trail

offered  "a holiday job with a difference" for traditional musicians aged 16 to 22 years.

Yet again, our band of young musicians have done us proud, playing to audiences throughout the Cairngorms National Park in a variety of formats, from 'wandering minstrels' to informal music sessions, Cèilidh dances and concerts.

The 8 young musicians undertook a training week at the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, Plockton and then embarked on a two week tour of the National Park in mid July.

They were given a great recpetion at all venues and were praised for their high musical skills and enthusiasm for sharing this with their audiences.

Seonag Buxton, Duncan Bullivant and Owen Sinclair enjoyed a second successful tour with the band, joined by new members Becca Skeoch, Tara Cunningham and brothers Callum and Ally Forsyth .

Between them, this talented group of youngsters offers fiddle, cello, guitar, Gaelic and Scots song, step dance, keyboard, pipes, clarsach, percussion and calling for Cèilidh dances.

Please see our News page for a picture of the musicians 'playing' at Landmark!

We would very much appreciate your comments about the Cèilidh Trailers' performances - if you didn't get a chance to fill an evaluation form at the time, please download one here and send it back to us - your thoughts and comments are important to us.
